I’m ashamed. It has been over two years since I wrote a blog. Those two years have flown by! Since you last heard from me, I’ve been on a few holidays including New York, Cuba, Palma Nova, Cotswolds, Cornwall, Bath and most recently Tenerife. Many of these holidays have been vlogged and you can find them over on my YouTube Channel. The travel vlogs prove to be more popular than my fashion blogs! I do enjoy creating them; it’s fun sharing those memories with you.
Next month, we travel to Palma in Majorca for the wedding of one of our close couple friends. We’ve decided to make a short holiday out of the trip too, staying in Palma for 5 nights. I’m looking forward to some nice weather! What a washout we’ve had so far this Summer.
It has got me thinking about where I’d like to head to next year for linger holidays. I am forever seeing people I follow on Instagram and those I watch on YouTube enlighten me with lots of different places I’d like to visit. Travel vlogs are something I enjoy watching too. They’re like the 21st Century version of Wish You Were Here. Remember that show? If you don’t, you must be younger than me. So, here’s a short list of the places I’d like to visit in 2024:
1. Positano, Italy 🇮🇹
The views, the food, the accent… what’s not to love? I have seen a few of my favourite YouTubers visit here in recent months, and it looks simply stunning. The Amalfi Coast can get ready – I’m going to make my way down it for sure!
2. Greece 🇬🇷
Our first holiday together was to Rhodes back in 2013. We stayed in Ixia, a little too quiet for us at the time, a little derelict in places. We spent thw day in Rhodes Town once or twice and loved it. However, there are so many places in Greece I want to visit; Corfu, Crete, Kos, Santorini, Kefalonia… Maybe you could comment below with your favourite Grecian destination to give me some further inspo? We like to stay in adult only hotels and enjoy eating out on an evening. The sunsets look too good to miss in Greece.
3. New York, USA 🇺🇸
Yes, again. I love the place. I’ve never seen it at Christmas time or near Thanksgiving and I think I’d love it even more at that time of year. If we do go next year, that will be my fourth visit. It has got more expensive since our trip in 2016 to when we went in 2022, but hey, hasn’t everything? I’d like to stay nearer to the Meatpacking District as this felt very me last year: plenty of nice shops, brands we don’t get in Sheffield and get in London if we’re lucky, plenty of cool, industrial eateries and buildings. A less hectic side of the city but still so much buzz about it. Walking the High Line every day would be nice too.
So, let’s hope these plans come to fruition. Of course, if we end up finding the next renovation project or buying another home, we will probably just be looking at one sun-filled holiday. I’ll have to choose wisely!
Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed this blog. Check out my YouTube channel and see which travel vlogs take your fancy. Who knows, they might provide some holiday inspo for you.
