I’ve always been a fan of a polka dot. The playful, dotty pattern that’s oh so feminine. I mean, you can’t look miserable in polka dots, can you? They’re fun and pretty and very Ooh La La!

It’s music to my ears to see the shops full of big spots and little spots, black spots and white spots. I’m yet to see some colourful options but I’m sure I’ll find them soon. I’m imagining a fine light grey knit with multicoloured medium-sized polka dots. If you see one, tag me! Please!

For this week’s blog I went on the hunt for my favourite pieces from a selection of High Street names. And of course, I’d like to share them with you.

1. Frill Culotte Jumpsuit – River Island

Come on, how cute is this? The sleeve detail, the contrast of the white sleeve, the culotte length and the v-neck. I love everything about it and with a splash of red, mwah! To be honest, a splash of any vibrant colour would work wonders. I can see this with Vans or with barely there sandals for a Spring/Summer event. Or shove a chunky cardigan over it now if you can’t wait!

2. Bodysuit – Zara

Something about this is really casual but sexy. It’s date material. And it will stay in place with it being a body. I’d put a few layered necklaces with it and I do love the red lip.

3. Pearl Sweater – Zara

Ok, so it’s not your typical polka dot piece, but we are still loving pearls, aren’t we, so when pearls look like polka dots, it’s got to be a winning piece IMO. I’m loving the oversized sleeves too.

4. Wrap Frill Mini Dress – River Island

Influencers around the globe were seen in dresses just like this one in 2017. They’re so girly and cute and I imagine so easy to wear. I’d really like to try this style this year. The wrap style and added frills are really flattering and it’s a good length too, not too short like some I’ve seen. When you’re in your early 30s, the last thing you want is for people to think your clothing is too short. Or maybe that’s just me. The green bag is a nice contrast colour too, very fresh.

5. Shadow Spot Print Wrap Blouse – Topshop

I’ll finish with a top I like for when you want the classic ‘jeans and a nice top’ combo. It’s cropped so will go perfect with high-waisted jeans and the frills will sit nicely on your waist. Off-white makes a change and is lovely for the new season. Just add your girlfriends, a cocktail and you’re sure to have fun wearing it!

Well that’s it from me for bow. What’s your favourite piece from this blog?
