There’s a certain party at Christmas time that I get excited for as early as August. It’s a party on Park Lane, London. Held in the wonderful, luxurious Grosvenor Hotel (if you’ve never been before you’ll recognise it from the awards shows on TV), it’s a super glamourous affair that I fall in love with more and more each year.

One of the most important parts of the event is the outfit. I need to choose glam, yet comfortable as the dancing that takes place after the delicious 5 course meal and copious amounts of Bollinger means I need to be able to move and not be conscious of the food baby that’s bound to appear.

This will be my 4th time at this special event and I’ve decided that the colour of dress I’m going to choose this year is red. We all know that red is the colour of the moment. I was going to choose red last year and now I’m glad I didn’t. If you get to the end of this blog you’ll see my dress choices for previous years.

Most of us will be going to at least one Christmas Party where a glamourous dress is required and so I thought I’d offer you a few choices if like me, you’ve decided to go with a festive red. I’ve picked out a few of my favourites that I’ve come across (and all under £100!).

1. Pink Boutique’s Flower of Love Red Embroidered Maxi

Most of my ball-gown type dresses are full length. You don’t have to worry about your legs and your top half usually has some beautiful, sparkly detail to it that makes you look banging! When I saw this dress I have to admit, I thought it might be my second choice for the party this year. I love it. It’s elegant, detailed and would show off my best assets nicely. Some fabulous statement earrings (not too heavy or embellished -let this dress do the talking) would finish it off nicely. Your shoes will be hidden but I’d go with an open toe heel in black, nude or silver.

2. Boohoo’s Zaira Boutique Full Skirt

A fuller skirt can be perfect at hiding a larger bottom area (if you want to hide it!) And if you’re not keen on the top of your arms I think this would be a great choice. I like the lined detail and the waist and would cinch you in to accentuate your curves. I would 100% choose a dainty, barely-there heel to go with this dress and not the clumpy black shoes Boohoo have paired with it on the picture below. Far too heavy.

3. Missguided’s High Neck Frill Cold Shoulder Midi Dress

Frills have been everywhere throughout the year and including them at Christmas can surely only add more sass to your outfit! I think this dress is classy and fun at the same time as well as really sexy. An open toe sandal (as below) rather than a pointed heel would be my shoe of choice with it.

4. ASOS’ City Goddess Bardot Midi Dress with Bow Detail

I’m a big fan of Bardot tops and dresses. Showing off your neckline is super sexy and the added touch of the bow detail on one arm really grabbed my attention. This is simple yet classy. I have purchased this and I am waiting on delivery. I just hope the material is nice. To be honest, I hadn’t seen No.1 before buying this one and I may just have to get that one too to see which I like best. I’ll be pairing this with my nude Loubs if I stick with this one.

Which do you like best? Let me know in the comments below or tweet me.

As promised, here are my previous outfits to this amazing party on Park Lane.

2016 – bronze

2014 – navy

2013 – black (Picture from 2 weeks ago as I can’t find one from the actual event!)

If you follow me on Instagram you’ll definitely see my final choice on there. The party is late November and I can not wait!

Where are you going for your Christmas party or parties?

Until next time, take care, Natalie x
